Did Disney simply forget about Magic Carpets, or is something else going on? Like mentioned above, the only rides that do not have signs are Astro Orbiter, PeopleMover, and Magic Carpets. Disney has removed any signs that FastPass+ once existed and has installed the new ones. We have confirmation that almost every attraction in Magic Kingdom now has a Lightning Lane sign. Magic Carpets, however, did offer a FastPass+ so why is it not on the list of included attractions for Genie+? Is Disney planning to not offer any type of Lightning Lane access? It’s not a very popular ride, and wait times are consistently low. The ride simulates a magic-carpet flight over and through the bazaars, oases, painted hallways, and underground tombs in Aladdins world. Now, what’s interesting is Astro Orbiter and PeopleMover never offered FastPass+ so it makes sense that they would not be on the list of Genie+ attractions. If the Magic Carpets of Aladdin is Adventureland’s version of the Dumbo ride, then the Astro Orbiter is Tomorrowland’s.
